Machinist Steampath

Steve Hedstrom HeadshotContinuing our 40th Anniversary Celebration, we asked some of our most tenured employees about their experience working for MD&A. Steve Hedstrom, Machinist – Steampath Division shares his thoughts on MD&A.

Why did you choose to work for MD&A and why have you continued to choose to work at MD&A?

MD&A chose me. I was working with Corona Engineering when MD&A bought Corona back in 2001. I continue to work with MD&A because it is a good company to work for and they have always treated me fair.

Do you have any favorite memories from your time with MD&A thus far?

Many fond memories with all my worldwide travels.

How has your job changed over the years?

I started with machining services and now I am with steampath for the last 15 years. Valves to buckets.

How have you seen MD&A change in the time that you’ve worked here?

I have seen many changes. Larger cranes, CNC machine tools, more engineering, safety controls.

How would you describe our company culture?

Wanting to maintain good long-term customer relationships and provide a quality product.

What is the best part of your job or tasks?

The best part is every day can be a different job assignment or a challenging task.

Thank you, Steve!
