MD&A can provide a Thermographic Survey as a standalone service or included in our Performance Testing & Analysis services. Internal and external cycle isolation leakage can be a very large source of performance loss in a cycle. Our engineers use infrared thermography and acoustic techniques to identify leakage. We use industry-accepted techniques to quantify the leakage. Once the leakage is quantified, Thermodynamic Analysis is used to determine the impact on cycle performance. Losses are ultimately provided as a loss in $/yr based on fuel or electricity costs and increased water consumption so the customer can make an informed maintenance decision.
