It is an ISO-Certified, F-Class Repair Center of Excellence.<\/p>\n<p><strong>View our\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mdaturbines.com\/repairs\/gas-turbine\/component-repair\/\">Gas Turbine Component Repair<\/a> video below and then call MD&amp;A San Antonio Service Center today at\u00a0<\/strong><strong>(860) 781-<\/strong><strong>3152 or use our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mdaturbines.com\/contact\/\">Contact form<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"embed-container\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"MD&amp;A\u2019s Gas Turbine Component Repair\" width=\"1400\" height=\"788\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/gK4rRPzlLNM?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>MD&amp;A\u2019s San Antonio Service Center provides repair services for large-frame gas turbines, with proven expertise on frame 7EA, 6FA,7FA, 9FA, V84, and V94 combustion and hot gas path components.<\/p>\n<p>All of the repair processes, with the exception of acid stripping, are completed in house, utilizing our Three-Stage Gate Process to ensure the highest of standards.<\/p>\n<p>Each gate provides the client with an important checkpoint to review the project\u2019s progress with our engineers \u2014 a partnership that enhances quality and reduces repair time.<\/p>\n<p>The first step of MD&amp;A\u2019s gate process is referred to as Strip and Inspect.<\/p>\n<p>When a component first arrives in San Antonio, we conduct an Incoming Inspection &#8211; tagging and cataloging each part.<\/p>\n<p>This stage includes Airflow and Dimensional Inspection then a Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection, or FPI, which uses blacklight technology to pinpoint any cracks.<\/p>\n<p>The Ultrasonic Inspection is a completely automated, ultrasonic underwater test that provides thirty-eight points of precise measurement.<\/p>\n<p>All of MD&amp;A\u2019s crews are certified in their specific area of expertise.<\/p>\n<p>Gate Two is the Repair stage.<\/p>\n<p>With the goal of returning a part to its original state, this stage begins with a Solution Vacuum Heat Treatment Process.<\/p>\n<p>CNC machining delivers cuts that are precise and uniform every time.<\/p>\n<p>MD&amp;A utilizes the industry\u2019s most advanced Welding techniques, including hot box and hand blending, with individual welding booths assigned to each part.<\/p>\n<p>Unlike hand drilling, Electro Discharge Machining, or EDM, assures part conformity.<\/p>\n<p>Once repairs are completed, a report is compiled; review of this report is another checkpoint opportunity for our experts and clients.<\/p>\n<p>The last stage of the Gate Process is the Final Inspection.<\/p>\n<p>Once a part has gone through another visual inspection, it is ready for Coating, a thorough process that ensures a precise application. HVOF, or High-velocity oxygen fuel, is a base coat applied at the speed of sound.
